The Alphonse Resort is currently undergoing refurbishment in order to provide guests with an exclusive, upmarket holiday destination. During refurbishment, the resort will continue to operate during the fishing season as a flyfisherman’s paradise. Go to Alphonse Flyfishing.

7 degrees south of the Equator and 400km (250 miles) south west of Mahé, the Alphonse Atoll lies in the very heart of the Indian Ocean and is part of the Alphonse Group of Atolls. Incorporating Bijoutier and St Francois, these two atolls extend sixteen kilometers south from Alphonse. With no high mountains for many hundreds of miles around, our rainfall at Alphonse is a fraction of Mahé’s ensuring good weather patterns and conditions just about all year round.

Discovered in 1730 by the Chevalier Alphonse di Pontevez who was in command of the French frigate, Le Lys, Alphonse was generally used to cultivate coconuts and various crops until the late 1990’s when the resort development began and these treasured atolls of the Amirantes became accessible to the outside world. The resort currently accommodates guests in comfortable bungalows built alongside the lagoon and sparkling white beaches. The bungalows are built some distance away from the main reception and dining area. Transport around the island is either on foot or bicycles.

During the refurbishing of the resort, Resort facilities will include
a specialized flyfishing package, snorkeling facilities, reef walks, pedalos, kayaking, tennis and cylcling. The resort has internet access and a conference room. Meals will be served in the ever-popular “Le Lys” bar and adjoining beach. Please note that room service is not offered at the Resort, the golf cars are used for the hotel's operation.

In addition we have the only full size billiard (and pool table) in the whole of Seychelles.
An efficiently run laundry provides an excellent service to guests.

Please note that because this is a multi-adventure destination, it is not suitable for people with severe health problems or disabilities.
