On your arrival a host of activities will be explained to you by our Resort Manager to ensure that, in addition to relaxing on the beach or by the pool, you make the most of your time with us. Please note that all outdoor activities are planned according to the weather conditions.

Scuba Diving - Currently unavailable during the refurbishment of the Alphonse Resort
Suitable for all categories of divers, the coralline atoll of Alphonse with its warm and clear tropical waters is regarded as one of the world’s top dive destinations. Totally untouched dive sites with great visibility will give you superb sightings of a huge range of fish and forests of fan corals. Go to Scuba Diving for more information.

Flyfishing
Considered a flyanglers paradise, the expansive flats surrounding the atolls of Alphonse and St Francois provide the flyfishing experience of a lifetime. These atolls are home to incredibly large populations of Bonefish, three different types of Trigger fish, eight species of Trevally, Snappers, Groupers, African pompano, Parrot fish and the incomparable Milkfish. Snorkeling
A short stroll to the ocean from your bungalow, snorkeling in the Alphonse lagoon or the inimitable Bijoutier island will reveal the hidden splendours of these coralline atolls depending on tides and weather. So splendid are sightings of the enormous variety of colourful tropical fish and huge fans of unspoiled coral that they are etched in the minds of our guests forever. Please note that fins, mask and snorkel are provided.

Pedal Boat
For a leisurely sightseeing trip around the Alphonse lagoon, we have two pedal boats. Take along a mask, snorkel and some fins and you will also be able to enjoy the wide variety of sea life that surrounds Alphonse.

Reef Walks
This is a very special opportunity to walk with the turtles and get up close and personal with stingrays and juvenile lemon sharks as you explore the very edges of the reef around Alphonse island.

Nature Walks and Cycling
Whether you would like to take a quiet stroll around the island or use your bicycle, we recommend that you spend some time exploring the tranquil forests of the island using the well-established roads that hark back to the days of the coconut plantations.

Tennis
As the sun begins to wane and an ice-cold drink beckons, take a tennis racquet from reception and work up a good thirst on the tennis court. You may even receive an invitation from our Resort Manager who has devastated many a hopeful challenger!

Games Room
For a change of pace, enjoy the cool and comfort of the Games room that has a full sized billiard and pool table and television.

Kayaking
For guests wanting to combine some exercise with exploring the calm and crystal clear waters surrounding Alphonse, we have available four single and four double kayaks. Due to the clarity of the water, there is every chance of seeing a prodigious selection of sea life. Life jackets are provided with the kayak and paddles.

Big Game Fishing
Blue water fishing and blue water fly fishing is not allowed in and aorund Alphonse, Bijoutier and St Francois.
